The Lebanese American Club website is meant to serve the Lebanese community in Jacksonville. It provides support to the different programs offered by the Lebanese Club. Dear Friends; The Lebanese American Club of Jacksonville is back. Recently the members have elected new officers. The new officers are as follows: John Assi Pres. Nick Antar Executive V.P. Tracy Fares Administrative V.P. Nehme Richa Treasurer and Hanan Nammour Secretary. We as Lebanese living in Jacksonville need to be united and set an example to everyone abroad what the meeting of unity means. So we are urging everyone who is or is not a member to join us. Membership has its privileges. The club is having a membership drive. Membership dues to the club is $125.00 a year per family, with a $50.00 Initiation fee, that is waived for the first year. These dues are for the year of 2008. Please make your checks out to The Lebanese American Club of Jacksonville and you can mail it to the above address or give it to Nehme Richa who is our Treasurer. Please show your support and join the club. By now you are saying to yourself why should I join, or what am I going to get with my membership. Well we came up with a VIP program that will benefit the members. For Example; many discounts to events that the club will hold as well as trying to get discounts to restaurants, gym clubs and etc. The first event that the club will hold for the year 2008 will be a party for a well known singer from Lebanon named Tony Kewan. The party will be held on Saturday February 2nd 2008 at St. Ephram Church Located at 4650 South Kernan Blvd. Jacksonville FL. 32224. Tickets per person are $100 and $125 including dinner and meza. For tickets please call John Assi at 612-8900, Raymond Abi Khalil at 307-7722/ 743-6904, Nick Antar at 233-3319/ 292-9906. Babysitting is provided for free with a purchase of a ticket. Soft drinks are provided and bring your own bottle. On Saturday Feb. 23rd we will have a covered dish for the instillation of the new officers at The Lebanese American Club located at 2044 Parental Home Road, between the hours of 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Please come join us and give us your blessing. The remainder of the 2008 tentative calendar of events for the club is as follows. 1. World of nations May 1st. – May 4th. 2. Mother’s Day Party Saturday May 11, 2008 3. Independence Day Party Saturday November 22, 2008 If a member has an idea or a function that the club might be interested in hosting, please feel free to bring it up to one of the officers and we will discuss it. We will soon have a list of places as to where you can use your membership discounts. In closing this letter, we want to encourage all the Lebanese in Jacksonville, and ask for everyone’s support and help in making this club achieve their goals in unity and becoming one family.
